This month, we were very pleased to complete a big job over in Bedford, at a development of flats called The Fairway. A full overhaul of the roofline of each building was needed, so we definitely had our work cut out.
There were four blocks of flats for roofline renovation. We stripped out all of the existing fascias, soffits and guttering, and replaced it all with Swish upvc replacement products.
Then we got to use one of our favourite machines to produce some of the best guttering around – the seamless aluminium variety! We bring the mobile machine on site, and the correct lengths are generated on the spot, for immediate fitting. Aluminium guttering is completely seamless, which means no leaks, and it’s low maintenance. It also gives the correct flow rate for all of the rainwater flowing off of the roof, so it’s a great choice all round for these blocks.
It’s by no means an easy task. Seamless guttering by its very nature has got to be lengthy – that’s why we produce it on site – so due to its size it was pretty difficult getting it up the scaffolding and into place, especially in the middle of January! But the job is done, signed off by our happy customer, and all of the rubbish and debris was cleared from site once we were finished.
You’ll be able to see from the before and after photos what a difference it’s made to the flats, and they now have a long-lasting roofline that’s right for them. You can really see the different that a new roofline can make to the appearance of these properties as well.
A big shout out is due to our workforce who have braved the fresh weather and got on with the job in hand, to such a high standard!
